Trevor James Brown passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2026. Born on September 8, 1995, in Newton, he grew up in Walpole Massachusetts. He was the youngest of his siblings and that may have given him the freedom for an intrepid, exploratory, joyful approach to his many varied interests and adventures. He was a mischievous kid, a strong-willed teen and a dedicated adult. He was devoted to family and friends. To know him was to love him.
Trevor was a 2014 graduate of Walpole High School where he played both football and hockey. After spending a gap year working on farms in Germany, Trevor graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Food and Farming from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst Stockbridge School of Agriculture.
While at UMass, Trevor would work on his friend Harrison Bardwell’s Farm in Hatfield, developing a life-long love of farming and landscaping. Returning home to Walpole, Trevor’s part time job for his friend, Matt Nanicelli’s MTN Landscaping business, soon transformed to full time work and a newfound area of expertise.
Even after long hours of professional landscaping, TJ found himself on-call with neighbors and family for projects in their yards.
Trevor worked for 15 years at Norfolk County Veterinary Services in Walpole, starting out as a young Vet Tech. Always looking to gain more insight into veterinary medicine, Trevor was so proud of the fact that he had worked his way up to administering anesthesia during surgery at NCVS.
Trevor loved animals, but especially dogs He was always looking for new hiking trails to explore with his beloved dogs, Czara and Alfi. And dogs in turn adored Trevor. Czara, who had grown up with Trevor, was always exuberant when Trevor came by the house.
And, of course, Alfi, who Trevor got his freshman year at UMass and was training to be a Service Dog, was always at his side.
Trevor was a loyal friend - kind, selfless, genuine. He was always first to volunteer to help, the first to show up, the last to leave. He was a perfectionist and an optimist. Trevor was truly one of the good ones. He was one of a kind.
Trevor was known by his 10 nieces and nephews as Uncle Goblin for his antics in keeping everyone laughing. Always quick with a hug and a kiss, Trevor was never afraid to act out if it made people smile.
Trevor made his mark with so many people but none more than his Life Partner, Kristina Belcher. They were thoroughly in love and eagerly looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together. They were truly meant for each other.
By right, there should be many, many more milestones in Trevor’s life. Instead, his life was cut short at 30. The world is a better place because he was in it. There will never be another Trevor James Brown.
Trevor was a son, a brother, a grandson, an uncle, a nephew, an animal lover especially of dogs. But most of all he was a friend to anyone he met. Trevor is terribly missed by his family and many devoted friends. He leaves his parents, Rick and Susan Brown of Walpole, and siblings Cody and his wife Jessica of Plainville; Julie and her husband Jacques Paquin of Victor, NY; Garrett of Miami, FL; Tara and her husband Justin Nichol of Springfield, VA, and Trevor’s life partner, Kristina Belcher of Norwood. Trevor also leaves behind many nephews and nieces: Crissie Lambert and her husband Ricky; Daniel Brown; Connor Burke; Ashton Burke; Zander Donato; Violet Donato; Luc Paquin; Callie Brown and Jayce Lambert. Trevor is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Ann Horsman of Walpole, his uncle, Bill Horsman and his wife, Sara, and cousins Liam and Shane Horsman of Hopkinton. Trevor was preceded in death by his nephew, Dillan Burke.
