Bethoney, Theresa M. of Franklin passed peacefully on March 28th at the age of 82.
Beloved wife of the late Ronald Bethoney, daughter of the late Nebah (Fordie) and Eva Bethoney. Devoted mother of Cheryl Bethoney of North Dighton, Christine Bethoney and her husband George of Franklin, Theresa Tozier and her husband David of Kittery, Maine, Joanee Martins and her husband John of Brockton, Eva Finley and her husband Todd of Arizona and Michael Bethoney of Tennessee. Cherished sister of Joanne Carter of Dedham, David Bethoney of Franklin, Thomas Bethoney of Attleboro and the late Garry Bethoney, Fordie Bethoney, Maryann Khoury and Sarah Maroun. Loving "Sitho" of 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Visiting hours Friday evening from 4-7PM at the Alexander F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home, 45 Common Street, Walpole followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St Joseph's Church, Medway Saturday at 10AM. Interment at Mt. Benedict Cemetery.
Theresa was immersed in the Christian faith that would be her lifelong support as a servant for the Lord. Matthew 16:18; "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail" was a scripture she recited from her heart. Theresa had a passion for understanding others and praying with them for healing. She accepted all of her family with compassion, open arms, and selflessness. Generosity was second to none when someone needed a helping hand. She took pride in cooking Lebanese food,crocheting blankets, and above all, reading her bible.
