Sandra (O'Brien) Germano

Sandra Germano "Sandy" (O'Brien) of Plainville formerly of Norwood passed peacefully on February 24 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 82.  Beloved wife of the late Blaise "Butch" Germano of 62 years.  Devoted mother of Cheryl Germano and her companion Edward Shaughnessy of Wrentham, Charlene Harn and her husband Michael of Franklin, Christine Higgins of Plainville, Joseph Germano of Middleboro, and Janet Lynch and her husband Jeff of Norwood.  Cherished sister of the late Marjorie Scopa and Joseph O'Brien.  Loving "Gammy" of Bobby, Michael, Kevin, Sean, Mary, Jimmy, Amanda, Patrick, Katie, Sandy, Nicole, Samantha, and Blaise.  Great grandmother of Sophia, Savannah, and Morrison, and also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in laws, friends, and close neighbors.  Visiting hours will be held Monday evening from 4-8 at the Alexander F. Thomas and Sons Funeral Home 45 Common Street Walpole.  A mass of christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10:30 at St Martha Catholic Church 227 South Street Plainville, Internment at Highland Cemetery Norwood, relatives and friends invited.  Sandy was a longtime volunteer and an active member of the Plainville Senior Center and the past president of The Friends of Plainville.  Please in lieu of flowers all donations can be made to The Plainville Senior Center
