Robert C. "Bob" Nealon, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on July 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 10, 1969, in Waltham, MA, to Carol (Donlon) and the late William J. Nealon Jr. Bob's vibrant spirit and zest for life left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

Bob, affectionately known as “Beeb”,  grew up in a close-knit family in Newton MA, and was a source of constant joy and support to his parents and siblings. He shared a special bond with his mother Carol and always kept the memory of his late father William close to his heart. Bob met his loving wife Katie (McGuire) while in New York City visiting friends. They were married in 1998 and moved to their home in Walpole shortly thereafter.  Their union was blessed with three wonderful children, Kevin, Ryan, and Matthew, who were his pride and joy.

Bob is also lovingly remembered by his siblings, Mary Lusardi and her husband Phil of Needham, Jim Nealon and his wife Deenna of Trumbull CT, John Nealon and his wife Laurie of Medfield, Susan Nealon of Dedham MA, and Patrick Nealon and his former wife Joanna, both of Northborough MA; his In-laws, Maureen Lewis and her partner Joe Basile of Staten Island NY, Colleen and Paul Ottariano of Reston VA, and Gerry Vent of Haymarket VA; as well as countless nieces, nephews, friends, and cousins, including Drew Nealon of Belmont MA, with whom Bob shared a lifelong bond.

Bob graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in 1987 and went on to earn a marketing degree from the School of Management at UMass Amherst in 1991 where he made many lifelong friends. Following graduation, Bob joined his father’s real estate company, W.J. Nealon Commercial Realty in Watertown, working as a broker and property manager, which he later came to own and operate with his brother John until the time of his passing. Bob believed in loyalty and fairness to his clients and customers and enjoyed his many professional relationships.

Bob was incredibly proud of his three boys and his commitment to his children was evident in his involvement with their sports and extracurricular activities. He coached basketball and little league, took part in the Cub Scouts, and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his kids from the sidelines of a basketball or soccer game, or from the bleachers of a baseball field. His meticulous planning of family trips to Disney showcased his love for roller coasters and creating unforgettable memories with his children.

Bob’s “Happy Place” was the family summer home in Harwich on Cape Cod, where Bob spent all of his summers through his childhood and college years, and whenever possible since then. So many memories were made in and around the home on Hersey Road. His favorite pastimes there included golfing, boating on Nantucket Sound, waterskiing on Long Pond, legendary evening card games, and most of all being part of the constant banter with whatever mix of family and friends were filling the house. Bob loved his Boston Whaler and shared the thrill of speeding over waves or tubing on the lake with anyone who dared to join him.

A true Bostonian at heart, Bob loved all the Boston sports teams. He enjoyed attending Patriots and Red Sox games and was an avid viewer of all their games on TV. His love of the Red Sox led to his beloved goldendoodle being named “Fenway”, a wonderful dog that Bob spoke often about with great affection. Bob found joy in the simple pleasures of cutting grass on his tractor and endless projects around the house. His handy nature often came to the rescue, with Bob always willing to lend a hand and his expertise to family and friends on a challenging project.

Those who knew Bob will forever remember his sharp-witted sense of humor and his uncanny ability to quote classic movie lines in humorous relation to whatever situation he found himself in.  Bob’s passionate and spirited nature made every encounter with him a memorable one.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made in Bob’s memory to the American Heart Association www.heart.org or any other charitable organization.
