Robert W. McQuarrie, known affectionately as Bob, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 3, 1937, in Boston, MA, Bob lived a life filled with love, kindness, and gentle strength.

Bob was the devoted husband of Patricia (King) McQuarrie, with whom he shared 58 wonderful years of marriage after tying the knot on October 11, 1964. Together, they raised a beautiful family, and Bob was a dedicated father to Charles R. McQuarrie of Woonsocket, RI, Robert A McQuarrie of Mansfield, Sheryl A. Howe and her husband Donald of Franklin, Debbie J. Finamore and her husband Richard of Walpole, Linda M. Homer and her husband Joseph of Mansfield, and the late Martin A. McQuarrie.

In addition to being a cherished brother to Alan McQuarrie, Judith Pezzano, Paul McQuarrie, Susan Kerr, and the late Donald, Richard, and Leo McQuarrie, Bob was a loving "Papa" to Nicole Papirio, Brian Homer, Brendan Howe, Caitlin McQuarrie, Ashleigh Conlon, Elisabeth McQuarrie, and Madison Finamore. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Isabella Papirio. Bob's memory will live on through his many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

A graduate of Hyde Park High School, Bob went on to work as a mechanic for a bus company, where he was a dedicated and hardworking employee. He took great pride in providing for his family, often taking them on road trips for work, creating lasting memories and instilling in them a strong sense of love and support.

Bob's interests included a passion for model trains, which he lovingly set up in his basement. His grandsons would excitedly announce the trains as they went by, creating cherished moments for the entire family. This hobby not only brought joy to Bob but also served as a way to bond with his grandchildren, leaving a lasting impression on their lives.

Throughout his life, Bob was known for his loving, kind, and gentle nature. He was a pillar of strength for his family and friends, always offering a helping hand or a listening ear when needed. His unwavering love and dedication to his family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

As we say goodbye to Robert W. McQuarrie, we celebrate the life he lived and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
