ALLENDORF, Richard J. Of Norwood, passed peacefully on July 6 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Sheila (Lehane). Loving son of the late George and Gertrude Allendorf. Devoted father of Rebecca Allendorf of Walpole and Priscilla Thomas and her husband Michael of Plainville. Cherished brother of Mary Burns and her husband Seth of Boston, Joseph Allendorf and his wife Marita of Louisville, KY, and the late George Jr. and his late wife Elizabeth. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, inlaws, friends, and his special cat, George. Funeral from The Alexander F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home, 45 Common St., WALPOLE, Wednesday morning at 9:30, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Timothy's Church, Norwood, at 10:30. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday evening from 4-8 at the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends invited. Interment will be private at family's request. Richard was a retired U.S. Postal Worker, an avid golfer, artist, and literacy volunteer.
