Nkechinyere "Nky" Okoro, a cherished soul known for her loving nature, intelligence, and friendly demeanor, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 13, 2025, at the age of 46. Born on June 3, 1979, in Lagos, Nigeria, Nky's life was one of vibrant faith, dedication to her family, and a commitment to serving others with a warm smile that could light up any room.
Nky was the proud daughter of Anna N. Okoro and the late Charles Okoro. She grew up in a bustling household as a devoted sister to Emeka, Ikechukwu, Chukwueke, Uzoma, Chidi, and Ochenna Okoro. She was also survived by her sister in-laws: Chisom Daly-Okoro, Sophia Jean Okoro, Nkiru Philomena Smart-Okoro, Cordelia O Okoro and brother in-law: Andrew. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she extended her love and care to her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who survive her. They will forever remember her as a beacon of kindness and support.
A testament to her dedication and work ethic, Nky received her education at Ajereromi Ifelodun Secondary School in Lagos, Nigeria. She furthered her studies by earning a Master of Science in Project Management and a Master in Business Administration from a prestigious university in the UK. Nky's professional life was marked by nearly a decade of compassionate service as a Passionate Care Assistant, where she also excelled as a customer care assistant. Her colleagues will recall her as a pillar of reliability and warmth in the workplace.
Nky's faith was the guiding force in her life. As a devout Christian, she found solace and strength in reading the Bible and actively participating in her church community. Her love for Christian Music was a reflection of her deep spiritual connection, which she joyfully shared with those around her.
In her personal life, Nky was known for her exceptional taste in fashion and jewelry. Her sense of style was not just a hobby but a form of self-expression that brought her great joy. Shopping for jewelry and clothes was one of her favorite pastimes, and she took pride in her collection, which was as vibrant and colorful as her personality.
To know Nky was to experience unconditional love and friendship. Her intelligence shone through in her thoughtful conversations and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She approached every interaction with a friendly smile and an open heart, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Nky's legacy is one of love, faith, and community. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the light she brought into our lives and the countless memories that will continue to inspire and comfort us.
