Obituary
Marilyn C. Akikie (Cox) of Naples, Florida formerly of Norwood and Walpole, passed peacefully on February 23, surrounded by her loving family, at he age of 76. Beloved wife of Dr. Donald Akikie of 44 years. Devoted mother of Michael R. Marks and his wife Lucia of Walpole, Daniel J. Beaumin Akikie and his husband Franck of Quincy, and Katherine M. Akikie of Walpole. Cherished sister of Kenneth Cox and his wife Marcia of Norwood, Sandra Tucker and her husband Scott of Bridgeport, CT, and Brenda D'Agostino and her husband Robert of Plantsville, CT. Loving "Grandma" of Jake T. Marks and Julia D. Marks both of Walpole. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in laws, and friends. Visiting hours will be held Friday (3/3) evening from 4-7 PM at the Alexander F. Thomas and Sons Funeral Home 45 Common Street Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday (3/4) morning at 10AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church 549 Washington Street Norwood. Interment at Mt. Benedict Cemetery West Roxbury, relatives and friends invited.
