Margaret Ann (Francis) Calloe - “Peg” age 90 of Walpole, formerly of Jamaica Plan and Sharon, died peacefully on November 6, 2023. Peg was the beloved daughter of the late Richard and Anna (Quast) Francis and loving sister to the late Richard T. Francis Jr. and Mary B. Farley. She is survived by her sister Kathleen Francis of Norwood. Beloved wife of her husband Paul of 60 years and loving mother to her children Mary of Framingham/Pocasset and Stephen of Norwood. Born and raised in Jamaica Plain, Peg attended the Francis Parkman School and graduated from St. Thomas High School. She went on to Boston College and earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and was among one for the first graduating classes to include women. From there she began a wonderful and lifelong career as a nurse working at Boston Children's Hospital, Boston City Hospital/Long Island Hospital, and the Ellis Nursing Home. Post her nursing career, Peg also spent many years working at the Black Falcon Pier in Boston boarding and welcoming cruise passengers from around the world. Peg loved to travel and host holiday celebrations. Most of all she will be remembered for her amazing personality, love of life, humor, and kindness that she showed to everyone she met.
