Leonard M. Jackson, known affectionately to all as Lenny, passed away peacefully in his home in North Attleboro, MA on August 29, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on October 23, 1934, in Richmond, Virginia, Lenny's life was characterized by an unwavering dedication to his family, a spirited passion for his work, and a relentless zest for life's many adventures.

Lenny was the beloved husband of Barbara F. Jackson (née Campbell) with whom he shared 70 years of marriage until her passing in 2024. He was a devoted father, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and strength through his children, Lenore Jackson-Pope and her husband Thomas of Dover, Leonard Jackson and his wife Ann of Norwood, Michel Fuller and her husband Dwayne of North Attleboro, and Michael Jackson of Alaska and his brother the late Clarence Jackson and his sister Shirley Jackson

He was a loving "Pa" to his grandchildren, Ryan Jackson and his wife Erin, Elizabeth Doyle and her husband Matt, Danielle Willis and her husband Josh, Victoria Greaney and her husband Conor, Jacquelyn Pope, Courtney Swindells, and Dakota Jackson. His great-grandchildren, Ryan, Cora, and Ella, also brought immense joy to his later years. Lenny's extended family, inclusive of many loving nieces, nephews, and friends, will remember him fondly for his warmth and generosity of spirit.

Lenny's professional life was marked by over four decades of service as a Tin Knocker (aka Autobody man), where he applied his remarkable handiness and attention to detail to restore countless vehicles to their former glory. His career was not just a job but a canvas for his artistry, earning him respect and friendship within the Autobody shops he lent his skills to.

Lenny was a man of diverse interests and talents. His very early years were spent on his grandfather's tugboat in Boston, where he worked as a deckhand during the summers. In his later years he would spend hours in his workshop building birdhouses, furniture, lamps and toys for his grandchildren. He never stopped thinking of things to build for everyone. He always had great ideas.

An avid outdoorsman, Lenny enjoyed camping and was an accomplished scuba diver. His adventurous spirit was also evident in his passion for racecar driving, having raced his car Buster and repaired cars at the Norwood and Westboro speedways with vigor and excitement. He loved to ride his Indian motorcycle. He was also a dedicated member of the Army National Guard for over 10 years, where he served in the Tank division and was an exceptional Marksmanship. Lenny loved his country and after his discharge he continued to support veterans anyway he could.

Throughout his life, Lenny was a spirited and friendly presence, always ready to share a story, tell a corny joke or lend a helping hand. His commitment to his family was unwavering, and he treasured every moment spent with them, whether it was a camping trip or a family trip to the beach, or a grand adventure anywhere his heart desired.

Lenny's life was a rich tapestry woven with love, hard work, and the joys of simple pleasures. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. His was a well-lived life, and his memory will be treasured forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
