Leila (Barbour) Boulos, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully at her home in Norwood, MA, on July 20, 2024, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 1, 1934, in the historic city of Byblos, Lebanon, Leila's life was a testament to the strength and warmth of her spirit.

Leila's journey led her from the shores of the Mediterranean to the heart of Norwood, where she became a cherished member of the community. She dedicated her life to nurturing her family, creating a home filled with laughter, love, and the rich traditions of her Lebanese heritage. Leila was the beloved mother of Elias Boulos and his wife Lena, Randa Yazbeck and her husband Hares, and the late Alisabet Boulos, all of whom carry her legacy forward with pride and devotion.

A sister of remarkable bond and affection, Leila is survived by Tony Barbour and his wife Elaine, Hayatt Thomas and her late husband John of Taunton, Najet Barber and her late husband Joe Barber of Norwood , and the late Filomena Barbour and her late husband Yousef Rouhana, Elias Barbour and his surviving wife Marie Boulos, and Mansour Barbour and his surviving wife Norma Jean Barbour. Her siblings and their spouses shared not only a family tree but a deep friendship that was evident to all who knew them. Leila's life was further enriched by her role as a loving "Teta" to her grandchildren Ceasar, Layla, Paul, Peter, Paul, Mary, John, and Joseph, as well as her great-grandchildren Coralie, Anthony, and Luca. Her nurturing presence will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.

Leila's spirit extended beyond her family to touch the lives of many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. Her home was always open, her kitchen always bustling, and her advice always wise. Leila's ability to connect with people on a deep level was one of her most extraordinary gifts, and her absence will leave a void in the hearts of those who loved her.

Although Leila's primary vocation was taking care of her home and family, her influence reached far into the community through her involvement with Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, and she was very involved in the church's activities, contributing her time, energy, and resources to ensure its growth and vitality. Leila's faith-filled life was an inspiration to many, and her spirited nature uplifted all who had the pleasure of her company.

Leila's legacy is one of unconditional love, boundless generosity, and unwavering faith. She was a woman who lived her beliefs, loved without reservation, and left the world a better place for her presence. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

As we bid farewell to Leila (Barbour) Boulos, we reflect on a life well-lived, a journey well-traveled, and a soul that has undoubtedly found its peace. Her story does not end here, for she lives on in the memories we share, the traditions we continue, and the love that does not fade. Leila's spirit will forever be a guiding light for her family, a reminder of the beauty and strength that come from a life lived with a loving and faith-filled heart.
