Joseph L Dorsey

Dr. Joseph L. Dorsey of Walpole, co-founder of Harvard Community Health Plan and later Medical Director of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on November 22 at the age of 84.  Beloved husband of Dr. Joanne Wilkinson Dorsey and former husband of Patricia M. Dorsey.  Devoted father of Linda Dorsey Farley and her husband Brian of Needham, Timothy and his wife Jennifer of Swampscott, Michelle Peterson and her husband Boyd of Mercer Island, Washington, Alyssa Bristol and her husband Michael of Holden, Jill Bredmehl of Sutton, Alicia Dorsey of Walpole, Justin and his wife Evelyn of North Attleboro, Kemper of Limestone, Maine, and Adam of Middleboro.  Cherished brother of the late Leo J. Dorsey.  Loving grandfather of 16 grandchildren and also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in laws, and friends. Funeral from the Alexander F. Thomas and Sons Funeral Home 45 Common Street Walpole Wednesday morning at 9, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church Walpole at 10.  Visiting hours Tuesday evening from 4-8 at the Funeral Home.  Internment at St Josephs Cemetery West Roxbury, relatives and friends invited.  Please at the families request in lieu of flowers all donations can be made to The Holy Cross giving fund, holycross.edu/give OR www.foreverhomerescue.org.
