John A Murphy

John A. Murphy of Walpole passed peacefully on November 28th surrounded by his loving family at the age of 66.  Son of the late John A and Blanche Murphy.  Devoted father of Keri Darcy and her husband Eric of Tyngsboro and Mike Murphy and his wife Heather of Braintree.  Cherished brother of Joseph Murphy and his wife Susan of Falmouth, Kevin Murphy of Walpole, Debbie Swanson and her fiancé Rich of Marstons Millls and Brian Murphy of Cranston, RI.  Loving "Grandpa" of Charlotte, Jack, Maeve, Rowan and Callum.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. John was a skilled gardener.  He took great pride in sending family home with bags of fresh vegetables.  He would use the freshest of ingredients from his garden to make amazing meals.  John loved to be on the beach whether it be on Cape Cod or somewhere more tropical like the Dominican Republic.  He was an avid sports fan and although he loved Sunday football, nothing compared to the Boston Bruins.  John will be missed greatly by family and friends.

Funeral from the Alexander F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home, 45 Common Street, Walpole, MA Saturday morning at 9:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30AM.  Visiting hours will be held Friday evening from 4-8PM at the Funeral Home.  Interment at St. Francis Cemetery, Walpole.  Relatives and friends invited.    Please in lieu of flowers all donations can be made to Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation www.myotonic.org.
