John was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Hart) Crossen, who he married in 1945. Together, they raised a beautiful family that included their children J. Michael Crossen and his wife Judith of Medfield, Janice Feeney and her husband Joseph of Hingham, Jacqueline Arnpriester and her husband Michael of Weymouth, the late Paul Crossen and his surviving wife Nancy of Canton, and the late Patrick Crossen and his surviving wife Michele of Weymouth. John's legacy continues through his 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, as well as his great-great-granddaughter. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends who will cherish his memory.

A proud graduate of Hyde Park High School in 1939, John furthered his education by attending Northeastern University. His dedication to his country was evident as he served as a proud World War II Army veteran. Following his service, John built a successful career as a telecommunications engineer for New England Telephone and Verizon, where he made lasting connections and friendships.

John had a passion for politics and enjoyed engaging in discussions with friends and family. He especially loved talking to his grandchildren, sharing his wisdom and experiences with them. John's interests reflected his kind and selfless nature, always putting others before himself.
