Visiting hours will be held from 8:30am to 10:30am on Thursday, October 12 at the Alexander F. Thomas Funeral Home, 45 Common Street, Walpole. A funeral service will be held at Epiphany Church in Walpole at 11am. Interment will be private. In celebration of Jill's life, the family would like to extend an invitation for lunch at the Walpole Country Club following the service from 12:30 to 2:30. All are welcome to join in remembering and honoring Jill's beautiful life.
Jilline Miceli (Kondonellis), fondly known as Jill, passed away on October 6, 2023, in Walpole, Massachusetts, leaving behind a legacy of love, intelligence, and dedication. Born on November 8, 1938, in New Britain, Connecticut, Jill was the cherished daughter of the late John Kondonellis and Verna (Greatorex).
Jill was a proud graduate of New Britain High School, class of 1956, and continued her education at the University of Connecticut, where she earned a bachelor's degree in education in 1960. Her thirst for knowledge led her to further her studies, and she received a master's in education and a master's in psychology from University of Hartford.
Jill's passion for education and helping others shone brightly throughout her career as a high school English teacher and guidance counselor. For over 30 years, she dedicated herself to guiding young minds, offering them wisdom, encouragement, and a listening ear. Her commitment to her profession was evident in the countless lives she touched and the positive impact she had on her students.
In her personal life, Jill was the loving former wife of Richard Clinton and Joseph Miceli, both of Connecticut. Her love and dedication extended to her children, Rick Clinton and his wife Breana of Georgia, and Greg Clinton and his longtime significant other Leanne Welch of Walpole. Jill was a proud Grammy to Mary, Melonie, Matthew, Alexia, and Briella, and a doting Great Grammy to Penley and Luca. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
An active woman with a zest for life, Jill had a wide range of interests. She was an avid skier, tennis player, and golfer, and she loved to travel, exploring new places and cultures. A lifelong learner, she taught yoga, sharing her knowledge and passion with others. Jill was also a dedicated fan of the Red Sox, Celtics, and UConn Basketball, following their games with fervor. However, her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren, attending their sporting events, and creating lasting memories.
Jill will be remembered as a woman of intelligence and love. Her dedication to her family, her students, and her community was unwavering, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and kindness. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
