Grace O. McFarland

SHARON – Grace O. McFarland, 92, died May 30, 2018 at Wingate of Sharon.

      She was born November 6, 1925, in Boston, and was a resident of Sharon for 68 years. She was married to the late Peter J. McFarland for 70 years.

For many years, Grace was an accomplished seamstress and taught sewing at adult education programs in Sharon and surrounding towns. With her husand Peter, she often traveled around the U.S. and Canada visiting friends and family.

Grace leaves behind 3 children, Joan Simpson and husband Bill of Yarmouth  Port, Ann Strack and husband David of Foxboro and Ralph and wife Linda of Webster, N.H. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren as well as 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and a nephew.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visiting hours at Alexander F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home, 45 Common Street, Walpole, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018. A private burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
