It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish, however, we are grateful Glenn is no longer in pain and he is now free. On September 19th, surrounded by people who loved him, Glenn passed away peacefully at the age of 59 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his mom Alice Wasson, his sister Laura Klobucher, and brother Scott Wasson, as well as numerous relatives. Glenn was also loved dearly by his closest residential and day program staff over the years, including Jenny Ferreira, Nixon Konan, Rafael Delarosa, Jeremiah Cemin, Willis Dunbar, Olu Akinde, Joe Browne, Lucia Jackson and many others. Glenn was known as a ladies' man, he loved looking through magazines and finding pictures of the pretty faces. He absolutely loved Twinkies. Glenn was known to curse and causing a ruckus was always a favorite pastime. Glenn enjoyed bowling, the dance floor, animals, and car rides to anywhere. But, anyone who knew Glenn knows that his absolutely most favorite thing was SpongeBob! He was a fun man with a great sense of humor, an infectious laugh and smile, and a very strong will to live. Glenn is now reunited with his dad Edward Wasson and other family members in a place where he no longer feels any pain or discomfort. To honor Glenn’s memory, we are holding a celebration of his life on Wednesday, October 4th at 12pm located at his residence. We ask attendees to wear bright colors to celebrate Glenn and his love of SpongeBob.
