Gail A (DiFiore) Shaheen

Gail A. Shaheen (DiFiore) of Norfolk passed peacefully on August 11, 2025.  Beloved wife of Thomas Shaheen of 53 years.  Cherished daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Barakat) DiFiore.  Loving mother of the late Edward McDonough.  Devoted sister of Kathleen Abdelahad and her husband Arthur of Walpole and also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in laws, and close friends.  All services will be private at families request.

Gail was amazing in every way.  Her garden at home was always perfect. Somehow she knew what combination of plants and colors worked well together and planted a living portrait in her yard.  When she was indoors no one could match her cooking skills. Ask anyone that shared one of her from-scratch home cooked meals.  Gail had a passion for breeding and showing German Shepard dogs.  She traveled the United States as a member of the Bay State German Shepherd Dog Club and achieved 6 Champion AKC titles on six different dogs. Gail also rode horses in trials. She rode `hunt seat’ style and competed over high jump courses.  We will all miss Gail very much.
