Born in 1934 in Queens NY to Vincenza (Scardino) and Joseph Casano and raised in Newark, NJ. He married the love of his life, his beloved Rosina from Montclair, NJ. Rosina predeceased Frank by two years and his heart was heavy from that moment forward. They lived in West Orange, NJ where they raised their son, Frank Jr. He served our country as a military police officer in the US Army and attained the rank of Private First Class during his year of service, stationed in France and Germany, post WWII. Frank Sr. worked as a custodian for the Millburn Township school district for over 25 years where he was loved and respected by the staff, teachers and students alike. He was also a lifetime member of the Knights of Colombus in West Orange.
In his later years he and Rosina moved to Massachusetts to be closer to their son, daughter-in-law Marianne and two grandchildren, Francesca and Domenic, all of whom, he loved very much. Pop-Pop as he was affectionally called, always asked about his grandchildrens' numerous activities and gave them special gifts and treats when they came to visit him.
He loved watching the NY Giants and Yankees and had an appreciation
for music and dancing with his wife of 50 years. When Cam Schlitter was signed to the Yankees as a pitcher, he was excited to know they both shared the same home of Walpole, MA.
Frank lived out his remaining years at Walpole Healthcare where the staff loved his kind nature, loving spirit and daily compliments. He truly lifted their spirits every day. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
