Edward G. Sullivan Sr., fondly known as Ed to those who loved him, peacefully passed away at the age of 72 on October 27, 2023 surrounded by family. Born to Theodore and Virginia in Malden, MA on November 1, 1950, Ed's life was a testament to the power of love and kindness, the value of hard work, and the importance of family.
Ed was the devoted husband of the late Dorothy Ann (Duval) Sullivan, who predeceased him in 2001. He was the proud father of Lisa Sullivan of New Hampshire, Ed Sullivan Jr. and his wife Jocelyn of Walpole, and Lynda Martin and her husband Christopher of North Attleboro. Grandfather, or “Gramps,” to Jonathan, Tyler, Andrew, Owen, Declan, Henry, and Nora, Ed found immense joy in his grandchildren.
Ed was the loving brother of Christine Milton, Joseph Sullivan, Shirley Lubrano, and Theodore Parker. He spent much of his youth under the loving guidance of James and Hona Feeley. Later in life, Ed had a caring relationship with his stepfather, Fred Macdonald.
Ed was an Air Force veteran who worked most of his life as a respected self-employed plumber. He loved watching sports and classic western TV shows, but his greatest joy was undoubtedly spending time with his family. He found great pleasure in watching his children and grandchildren play sports, always there to cheer them on and guide them. His love for his family was deep and unwavering, and those who knew him best will remember his kind heart and sense of humor.
Edward G. Sullivan Sr. will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be a guiding light for his loved ones.
