Claire A. Weierman (Boyle) of Walpole, MA, formerly of South Orange, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026 in Cambridge, MA at the age of 84. Beloved daughter of John and Clara (Heirlein) Boyle. Devoted mother of Christine Weierman of Walpole, Bob Weierman, Jr. and his wife Karen of Natick, and Tom Weierman and his wife Laura of Natick. Sister of the late John “Jack” Boyle and his surviving wife Mary of New Jersey. Sister-in-law to William and Gloria (Weierman) Furlong of New Jersey. Aunt to Mark and Peg (Boyle) Kolb and Jack and Debbie Boyle of New Jersey. Claire’s greatest pride was in her role as “Nana” to Dylan, Ryan, Jack and Kyra. She truly cherished her time with her grandchildren. Claire is also survived by numerous family and friends from all of her present and past communities, including the staff of the Brookside Cafe where she had daily meals over the last several years.

Claire took great pride in her career as a nurse, as she had a deep compassion to help others. She began her nursing career at Georgetown University in Washington, DC before returning to NJ where she took a break in her career to raise her three children. After her children were off to high school and college, Claire returned to the profession she loved by providing support to a small pediatric practice in South Orange, NJ, before retiring to Walpole, MA to fulfill her greatest role as Nana Claire, where she took every opportunity to spoil her grandchildren and happily partook in every ice cream treat she got them.

Throughout her life, Claire loved to travel with family and friends. Igniting her love of travel, Claire traveled with her close friend (Sharon) to Europe during her early nursing career. After she retired, Claire continued to travel with friends through church sponsored trips, as well as with her daughter, Christine. Claire captured all of these trips in her many photo albums which she often revisited and shared with family and friends.

Through her life, Claire was deeply committed to her faith. Claire was dutifully active in her church communities of Our Lady of Sorrows in South Orange, NJ and Blessed Sacrament in Walpole. Not only did she steadfastly attend mass each and every Sunday (and she reminded her children often of this fact) and serve as a Eucharistic Minister, but she would also volunteer at local soup kitchens and other church functions to care and provide for those that were less fortunate. In addition to her faith, Claire also had a deep love of animals with many pets, current and past, that provided her with great comfort and love, including Lucky, Bailee, Kokopelli, Paddy, Jazzy, Piggy, Dixie, Judge, Roux, Rey and Millie.

We are extremely blessed to have had Claire in our lives and our love for her is immeasurable. Her love and encouragement shaped who we are today. She will live on in us forever.
