Carl Silvernail, of Lakeville, MA, formerly of Walpole, passed away peacefully at the age of 71.
Beloved husband of 44 years to Maribeth (Gorman) Silvernail. Devoted father of Brian Silvernail, Matthew Silvernail and his wife Stacy, and Meghan Sousa and her husband Derek. Proud and loving Papa to the lights of his life, Bennett and Emilia, who brought him endless joy.
He is also survived by his siblings Jack Silvernail, Carol Carlson, and Lynne Allen, as well as many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was the son of the late Warren and Phyllis (Richards) Silvernail of Walpole.
Carl proudly served on Walpole Fire Department, where he retired as Captain and also served as their training officer. His dedication to service and his fellow firefighters was felt deeply throughout the department and community.
Outside of his work, Carl was known for his warm laugh, steady presence, and love for his family. Whether playing with his grandchildren or sharing stories and spending time with friends and family, he had a way of making everyone around him feel cared for and at ease.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Alexander F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home, Walpole, MA.
